What Does a Product Director Actually Do?

When it comes to a product management team, sometimes you’ll come across the job title of Product Director (PD).

Is this just a level up from a Product Manager (PM)? What extra tasks are they performing? Where is the extra responsibility?

They aren’t present in every organization with a product function, and sometimes the functions are taken on by others, but where they do exist this is what they do.
