Hi Pauline, Thanks for the response. I’m afraid typically there is no period of silence to consider this problem. The aim of the question is for the recruiter to understand the thought process that the candidate goes through in order to determine an answer, so the candidate should be talking from the start.
The goal is not to ‘solve’ the problem, but to illustrate how you might think about the problem.
